Welcome to our new website. There are many exciting transformations occurring at SEDONA, and this new website will act as a vehicle for enhanced communications with our customers, prospects, channel partners and shareholders.
We have long been proud of our best-of-breed CRM/MRM software products and services for financial services institutions, namely hundreds of community banks and credit unions. We are equally proud of the receptivity that our application software solutions have received from financial institutions and the extraordinary references that our customers continually give us. Now we think it's the right time to supplement our historical focus on quality product development, superb customer care and indirect channel sales partnerships. To this end, we are enhancing our existing business model with a growth-oriented, customer-focused sales and support delivery model that includes not only indirect channel partners but direct sales as well. In doing so, we hope to gain more control over our own financial future.
Accordingly, we are pleased to announce that we have recently accomplished several significant milestones. First, we have completed a significant restructuring of our debt obligations and raised new working capital. (Details of this transaction can be found on Form 8K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January, 7, 2009). Second, the funding has enabled us to launch our new website and to add additional staff to better service our growing customer base.
In these challenging economic times, one of the key factors driving financial institutions to our solutions is our software's tight coupling to various bank and credit union core processor technologies. Examples include systems from Jack Henry & Associates, COCC, Metavante, several of the Fiserv Credit Union Division products and more. This integration allows customers to more quickly deploy and take advantage of the core SEDONA functionality, and to more efficiently populate the CRM/MRM with relevant customer data. Faster deployment means that our customers are more rapidly focused on the key metrics that drive their institution's profitability.
With banks, credit unions and most lending institutions coming under increased scrutiny from regulators, shareholders and customers, now is the time for community bankers and credit union executives to take center stage.
